Friday deadline for Canadian HR Awards

The deadline is creeping closer for HR professionals who want to nominate themselves, co-workers, HR teams or entire organizations.

HR professionals have just four days remaining before nominations close for this year’s internally-acclaimed Canadian HR Awards.

A total of 20 accolades will be handed out on the night, including Best Workplace Culture, Best Talent Management Strategy, and Best Employee Engagement Strategy.

Previous winners include CIBC Mellon, KPMG People Services, Colliers International, and ATB Financial.

"For me, it was a huge, proud moment for ATB and Alberta," said Sherri Wright-Schwietz, who picked up the 2015 award for HR Leader of the Year.

“We never get the big kudos nationally. We're just this little company doing these amazing things, but nobody knows,” she continued. “For everybody in Toronto to be talking about ATB is pretty special. This award represents all the great work at ATB and it's a moment for all of us."

Over 600 attendees are expected to convene at the industry gala, which will be held at the Liberty Grand in Toronto.

The full list of categories, including HR Team of the Year, HR Rising Star of the Year, and the award for Lifetime Achievement in HR can be found online.

Both SMEs and large enterprises are encouraged to enter with previous winners spanning every industry from financial and municipal to leisure and non-profit.

Online nominations take just a couple of minutes and can be done online.
