Coronavirus: What should HR do?

Global offices have been awash with fear following the outbreak of the elusive coronavirus earlier this year.

And whilst little is still known about the mysterious illness, it’s now incumbent on HR to lead the way in crisis management.

According to a recent report from CNBC’s Global CFO Council, 90% of companies have restricted employee travel, whilst a further 75% are actively schooling workers on health and hygiene practices.

In the midst of this uncertainty, people are increasingly looking to HR to lead the way – to mitigate employee panic and absolve C-Suite anxiety.

But how can you help resolve an issue you don’t fully understand yourself? HRD wants to know the biggest challenges your organization has faced since the COVID-19 outbreak – how have your employees responded? What legal, practical or market-related information would you find helpful right now?
