HRDTV Thought Leader Series: Dr Mansoor Soomro

HRDTV sat down with Dr. Mansoor Soomro, future of work researcher, speaker and lecturer at Teesside University in England, to talk about AI tech advancements, and how best to take human-centric approaches to integrating new technology into HR processes.

Soomro stressed that recognizing employees as not just resources but key drivers of organizational success is key. This means continuing to focus on employee wellbeing, personal development, and diversity and inclusion when integrating AI.

Embracing AI as a tool is an important first step, Soomro said, as well as fostering a culture of learning about that tool.

“How do we understand the capabilities and limitations of different AI generative tools that we see? AI is also constantly evolving – how do we enable our employees to adapt with it?”

To learn more about AI integration into HR, including leadership and AI and how to clearly define roles for employees and AI in the workplace, watch the short video here, as well as other videos in our HRDTV Thought Leader series.
