The 50 most engaged workplaces revealed

With only 15% of the global workforce engaged and happy in their line of work according to Gallup, redefining the employee experience has become a constant challenge for HR leaders.

But while most organizations are still figuring out the enigma of employee satisfaction, 50 companies have been recognised as game-changers.

Achievers, a company specialising in employee rewards and recognition, has unveiled its global list of the most engaged workplaces excelling in the ‘Eight Elements of Employee Engagement’:

  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Culture
  • Rewards and Recognition
  • Professional and personal growth
  • Accountability and performance
  • Vision and values
  • Corporate social responsibility

Air Canada, which was honoured for the fourth consecutive year, believes fostering a positive workplace culture gives the airline company a competitive advantage.

The company said it gives its 33,000 employees the “opportunity to act as entrepreneurs” and to take ownership of the airline’s excellent customer service.

“Through the development of a people-first culture,” said Jeff Cates, CEO and president at Achievers, “the organizations listed epitomise an innovative, engaged and accomplished workforce.”
