Creative resumes: Would you hire this Lego lady?

When the competition gets tough, the tough get creative – with Lego in this case.

Would a tiny Lego person and matching promotional material help a resume stand out? Of course it would.

When Leah (last name unknown) was in the running for her dream job at an advertising agency part of the challenge was to create a “piece of persuasive advertising with you as the product” .

Instead of just a poster or brochure, Leah spent hours making a Lego brick version of herself, complete with business suit, and creating the packaging to go with it.

“I wanted to stand out to employers, so I made a LEGO set of myself in my interview suit and sent it out to my dream advertising agencies,” she wrote when posting the picture to Reddit.

While she hasn’t got an offer yet, Leah has already landed a phone interview.

What creative resumes have crossed your desk? How can a candidate stand out in the application process?
