Revealed: Canada's Top Employers 2021

It’s that time of the year again, as Canada’s Top 100 Employers releases its 21st consecutive list.

Published by the Globe and Mail, Canada’s Top 100 Employers rewards and recognises the crème de la crème of Canadian companies.

After analysing certain criteria such as Physical Workplace, Work Atmosphere & Social, Health, Financial & Family Benefits, Vacation & Time Off; and Employee Communications, employers are selected on the basis of overall merit.

HRD spoke to Chris Taylor, CHRO at BestBuy Canada – one of the winners of the prestigious accolade – to ask what this recognition means to him.

“I couldn’t be more proud for us to have been recognized for the fourth consecutive year,” Taylor told us.

“This is, without a doubt, driven by the unwavering spirit of our 12,000 team members and the relationships we’ve built with our customers, communities and each other.

“What I love most about this competition is that we are challenged to create forward-thinking programs year after year, focused on the most relevant issues that affect our employees.

“This year, with physical safety and psychological wellbeing at the forefront, we have remained committed to ensuring that these take priority each and every day.”
