Husky Technologies names new CHRO

Husky Technologies – a global technology firm based in Bolton, Ont. – has announced that Karen Stone will join the company as Chief Human Resources Officer on June 22, 2026. The company said her appointment “adds significant human resources expertise to Husky’s leadership team, reinforcing GPGI’s commitment to building a world-class management team.”

Dave Cote, Executive Chairman of GPGI, highlighted Stone's "significant global experience" that will accelerate the company's cultural transformation.

Robert Domodossola, President and CEO of Husky, emphasised Stone’s role in shaping the company’s workforce strategy.

“I look forward to partnering with Karen to build the world-class team and high-performance culture that will power our next phase of growth."

Stone brings more than 20 years of HR leadership experience, most recently at WESCO International. She played a pivotal role in WESCO’s $4.5 billion merger with Anixter, where her leadership helped deliver more than $300 million in cost synergies ahead of schedule.

Prior to that, Stone served as HR manager at Simard Transport and as HR business partner at Schneider National. There, she also held different titles such as Loss Prevention and Training Manager, Team Operations Manager and Service Team Leader.

Husky noted her expertise in transformation, complex integrations, and leadership model redesign as critical to its future.

“Technical skills can be built. Capital can be raised. But leadership maturity is increasingly scarce,” wrote Elena Martinella, Chief People Officer at Hatch, in a recent piece for HRD.

CFO appointment at Husky

Alongside Stone, Husky announced the appointment of Mohammad Kanaan as Chief Financial Officer, effective June 8, 2026. Kanaan brings more than 20 years of international finance experience, having held senior roles at Carrier Global Corporation, Schlumberger, and Deloitte Canada.

At Carrier, he oversaw a global P&L exceeding $1 billion and managed complex supply chain operations.

Husky’s products are used to manufacture a wide range of plastic products, including beverage and food containers, medical devices, and consumer electronic parts. The company provides comprehensive and integrated systems solutions comprised of injection moulding machines, moulds, hot runners, controllers, and auxiliaries.
