Canadian adventurer talks to HR leaders on 'dealing with change'

With HR gaining evermore traction as a strategic business partner, senior leaders need to keep ahead of the curve when it comes to industry change. With that in mind, HRD is proud to announce the return of our much-loved HR Leaders Summit – an in-person event designed to connect HR practitioners with global CHROs in the view of innovating the sector as a whole.

As part of our event this year, our keynote speaker is famous Canadian adventurer Julie Angus – the first woman to row across the Atlantic Ocean from mainland to mainland. Angus will be speaking on her experience in navigating a hurricane in a rowboat – a trial that helped her better deal with change and unexpected events.

In her discussion, Angus will reveal how the challenge not only helped her grow and prosper, but it ultimately lead to her being awarded National Geographic’s “Adventurer of the Year”.

Angus will share techniques to deal with changing environments including altering our perception, preparing for the unexpected, assessing risks, and improving communication, and shows how they can be applied to HR strategy.
