An MP has drawn up a bill that proposes a change in the way franchisors operate as employers.

Why not investigate the Kumon Franchise Agreement. It seem to change each year and in the end the franchisee has no right rights at all and in the end the only way to make a living is employing students. First the franchisee had an area but now new centres are popping up within a short distant from each other.

Franchisees in this country have no rights whatsoever. The result of the Pizza Hut case which was dismissed by the Federal Court gives franchisors blanket immunity and allows them to do anything they want to while knowing they are untouchable. It's acceptable to force their entire network to be forced to trade into insolvency and nobody will touch them. So before you going chasing franchisees, how about protecting them from unscrupulous franchisors first. Then the staff might be safe from exploitation from desperate franchisees.
