Canadian HR Awards 2020: Nominate your HR heroes

HRD Canada has long been a voice for the industry, determined to both set the standard for and celebrate the HR profession.

That’s where the Canadian HR Awards come in. Now in its 7th year, this annual event has become the benchmark for excellence in the HR profession. Every year, we update the awards program to best reflect and honour the HR teams, individuals and organizations across the nation for their exceptional work and commitment to HR best practices.

Nominations are now open until June 29 – but first, here’s a rundown of the key changes for 2020:

  • This year, we’re proud to introduce Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for the three best-placed finalists in each category. What with the high standard of competition only growing year on year, this ensures that the high-calibre finalists get the greater recognition they deserve.
  • We’ve revamped the nomination process, giving you a simpler yet still well-rounded awards journey that will take up far less of your time amid this challenging climate. In a nutshell, the nomination form will ask a set of questions based on the criteria, each of which can be answered concisely under 300 words. Then, if selected as a finalist, your nomination will be forwarded for final judging, so you’ll no longer be required to submit further information.
  • If you’re a finalist or a winner, you’ll be showcased and promoted in a comprehensive media campaign across HRD Canada and Canadian HR Reporter magazine and online channels. Winners will also be profiled in the November issue of Canadian HR Reporter magazine. This national media coverage is an unparalleled opportunity to raise your profile and employer brand in the industry!
  • All finalists will get access to exclusive press kits, including the prestigious digital award badge, a digital finalist certificate, a press release template, a social media banner, and an annual subscription to Canadian HR Reporter magazine (valued at $149). All these resources can be used to share your achievements far and wide!
  • Finally, you can take advantage of the Early Bird pricing until May 31 and save up to $100 per nomination. Further discounts are available to government and non-profit organizations.
