Nominations open for the 2022 HRD Awards New Zealand

Nominations for the HRD Awards New Zealand 2022 have officially opened, beginning the search for the industry’s best talent.

After a rapidly changing 18 months, HR leaders have been responsible for supporting employees through the COVID-19 rollercoaster and spearheading initiatives to put their people first. Juggling the challenges of lockdowns, restrictions, and the growing appetite for hybrid work, HR professionals have had their work cut out.

Now is the time to celebrate those individuals and teams. Supported by Employment Hero as the exclusive sponsor, the HRD Awards New Zealand promises to shine a spotlight on the most impressive achievements, leadership and innovation of the last 12 months.

HRD spoke to Wattie’s (Kraft Heinz), who were named excellence awardee in the HR Team of the Year > 500 Staff. The company’s senior rewards analyst Shannon Tottle scooped the title of NZ HR Rising Star of the Year.

Wattie’s (Kraft Heinz) head of talent for Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan, Darren Peiris, said the accolades are a testament to the HR team’s commitment to one of the company’s key values: ‘We champion great people’.

“The HR team have been busy throughout 2020 and 2021 in driving an exceptional employee experience for our teams in New Zealand as we continue to feed the nation during the pandemic. We are always committed to finding the best talent, who align with our values and growing our people into high-performing teams,” he said.

“Additionally, we are so proud of our HR Rising Star of the Year, Shannon Tottle, who has consistently demonstrated high performance and a commitment to driving business outcomes through a people lens, during a time where HR professionals were required to step up.

“Since joining Wattie’s (Kraft Heinz), Shannon has partnered closely with the business to providing guidance to our leaders and driving positive change.”
