How hard is it to fire people? Check out where Australia ranks in the world

If you think it's tricky to fire people in Australia, check out this list of countries where it's far harder to remove workers from their roles.

Australia ranks eighth lowest on the list of 34 countries, with the same amount of employee protections against individual dismissal as Norway and Finland.

Coming in at the top is the United States, where protections for employees are extremely low – for better or for worse, depending on where you lie on the political spectrum.
