The CEO of an online retailer has chosen an interesting euphemism to let their staff know they are being let go.

I always felt it was most apt to tell staff that we were "freeing up their future".

I am a fan of 'You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.'

    Drinking euphemisms all the way.

I am not sure.... I think I would feel confused if I heard those words and I would be asking for clarification which is always a choice of course. Some people need to have things spelled out..... I am one of them.
