Kerri Hayman said she is leaving to "take the next step in my journey"
Domino's Australia and New Zealand chief executive officer Kerri Hayman is stepping down less than a year after being promoted to the role.
Hayman will remain in her role until August 29 to support the company's new strategic plan, the "Recipe for Growth," Domino's said in a media release.
"Working with Domino's has given me some of the most rewarding experiences of my life — both professionally and personally — and I've developed lifelong friendships with passionate pizza people around the world," Hayman said in a statement.
"Domino's is now entering a new chapter, with a clear 'Recipe for Growth' in place for Australia and New Zealand. With the business well positioned for the future, I feel confident this is the right time for me to open a new chapter of my own."
Hayman was promoted to the top role in August 2024, becoming the first female ANZ CEO at Domino's.
She has been with the brand for 37 years, with previous roles including Chief Operating Officer for ANZ in 2023. She also spent 14 years working for Domino's internationally, with experience in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Hayman said it has been a "privilege" to serve Domino's for her entire working life.
"I want to thank the Board, our franchise partners, and my colleagues for the opportunity to serve as their Chief Executive Officer," she said in her statement. "This is the right time for me to take the next step in my journey."
Mark van Dyck, Group CEO and Managing Director at Domino's, said Hayman helped Domino's become a stronger and more resilient business.
An international recruitment process has been launched at Domino's, which the company said includes internal candidates.
Meanwhile, Domino's has also appointed Greg Steenson as the new Chief Operating Officer in Australia.
He was previously the Head of Corporate Operations at Domino's. He was also recognised as one of the company's most awarded team members, being the recipient of multiple leadership awards, including ANZ Manager of the Year.
The leadership change at Domino's Australia comes after executive changes in its global leadership team. It named last month Andre ten Wolde as its new Group Chief Marketing Officer, and Julianne Dickson as the new Group Chief Transformation Officer.
Domino's is currently carrying out an operational and financial review in a bid to be "simpler and more consistent".
"This plan is not about promises — it's about action and results," Van Dyck said in February.
In the first half of FY2025 80 Domino's stores shut down globally, including 62 in Japan, three in Taiwan, one in Australia, and one in New Zealand, according to its half year results.
This is more than the 21 Domino's stores that opened in the same period, including one in Australia, 13 stores in Asia, and seven stores in Europe.
