In today’s rapidly changing environment, having a strong talent strategy is crucial. Cornerstone Ondemand recently released its Talent Health Index Report which surveyed over 1400 HR leaders globally, and found that Australia and New Zealand’s talent management is lagging behind its global peers.

The Talent Health Index assesses levels of talent maturity across regions, assigning scores for factors such as meeting basic talent needs, offering skill-building, adopting new tools to drive optimisation, and a strong learning culture. Regions are then categorised as either foundational, administrative, sophisticated or transformative in talent maturity.

Australia and New Zealand received a score of 86.7 out of 112 on the Talent Health Index, placing them on the ‘administrative’ level. This shows that while employers are slowly starting to invest into their talent strategy, there is still a lot of room for growth.

The report also showed some significant gaps between employer and employee perceptions. While 89% of employers in Australia and New Zealand felt confident in their ability to develop skills, only 67% of employees had the same confidence.

So how can employers raise their game and improve their talent maturity?

Cornerstone Ondemand is hosting a practical webinar tomorrow morning, which will cover the following:

  • Where Australia’s talent management strategies sit in comparison to the rest of the world, and how high-performing organisations achieve their results
  • How HR can work with technology vendors to improve their talent management programmes
  • The seven essential components of a successful talent programme

The webinar will be held at 11am AEST on 10th November. To find out more and to register for the webinar, click here.
