Would a tiny Lego person and matching promotional material help a resume stand out? Of course it would.
When Leah Bowman was in the running for her dream job at an advertising agency part of the challenge was to create a “piece of persuasive advertising with you as the product”.
Instead of just a poster or brochure, Bowman spent hours making a Lego brick version of herself, complete with business suit, and creating the packaging to go with it.
“I wanted to stand out to employers, so I made a LEGO set of myself in my interview suit and sent it out to my dream advertising agencies,” she wrote when posting the picture to Reddit.
The kit also comes with a set of 'instructions' that list her experience and skills.
'From client presentations to a fresh pot of coffee, Leah tackles every project with excitement and purpose,' it reads.
'Leah comes with an eye for design and fantastic people skills. She's a great listener who can help clients define their needs and develop creative solutions for any challenge.'
While she hasn’t got an offer yet, Bowman has already landed a phone interview.
