Foreign workers to get new work pass cards
Work Pass cards for foreigners working in Singapore will now have a QR Code and a mobile application will be available for download by those seeking to know the result of their work passes.

Work permit holders in the marine shipyard and construction sector will be able to get their cards beginning September 15. Other industries will follow.

Existing WP cards will remain valid.

Meanwhile, workers can also download a mobile app called SGWorkPass so they, or other stakeholders, could easily check the status of their work passes.

The app will scan the QR Code printed on the new card for the most updated information.

Foreign workers without smartphones may still use e-services on the MOM web site.
