It’s no secret that employees need feedback and recognition to remain engaged and most leading companies now have some kind of formal reward and recognition program in place.
 
What makes a reward and recognition program stand above the rest? With the nominations deadline for the 2016 Australian HR Awards coming up this Friday, HC looked back at last year’s winner of the Solterbeck Best Reward & Recognition Program category – American Express.
 
American Express’ senior leaders are strong advocates of employee recognition and consistently support reward and recognition as part of their broader total compensation philosophy. The company was recognised for its program Reward Blue, which is based on three fundamental pillars: praise employees for their efforts, offer rewards for meaningful results, and celebrate loyalty.
