HR gender bias: What’s in a name?

A qualified professional who wasn’t getting any work found one little change fixed things, but this isn’t good news.

    I have observed companies/recruitment agencies asking female employees "if they had any plans for long term leaves or planning another child" which directly or indirectly mean if they were planning maternity leaves. Companies also ask for questions like "if you had any workers compensation claim in past or if you are disabled" during the application stage which may not be directly related to gender, however contributes to discrimination.
