‘Star’ recruits play an integral role in the talent pipeline – but as the war for talent rages on aided in no small part by the advent of LinkedIn, isn’t it time to cultivate stars from the ground up?

Not only are is it short sighted to disregarding currently-unemployed candidates in this climate of a tight employment market and wide spread retrenchments, currently employed candidates, also have their reasons for looking for work somewhere else; maybe they are avoiding performance management or have some other issue. It is likely you will need to do less to attract and engage some one who is unemployed and that they will be more keen to impress your with their work.
