While most of this is irrelevant for the Australian HR practitioner, there is one gem to be found here: ‘The HR manager’. This section is an online reference guide to a broad range of human resources topics, written by HR professionals with hands-on experience predominantly in high-tech organisations.

The HR manager details feature articles on topics ranging from avoiding split personality work environments, controlling employee turnover and corporate culture, to establishing a corporate telecommuting program, auditing human resources and women’s gain in corporate officer positions. Many of the articles are concise yet comprehensive.

The only criticism here is that some articles such as legal updates are somewhat irrelevant, given that Auxillium West’s target browser is the American HR professional.

On browsing the site the navigation is refreshingly impressive, as is design, with simple but suitable layout and graphics. Overall, a surprising breath of fresh air for HR.
