2006 HR Awards open for business

THE AUSTRALIAN HR Awards are once again shaping up as the HR benchmarking event of the year, with an unprecedented level of interest from HR professionals around the country

NOMINATIONS RECENTLY opened for the Australian HR Awards, with an unprecedented level of interest from HR professionals around the country.

Adding to the rigour of the judging process this year is an online employee opinion survey, developed by Macquarie University’s Voice Project research group. Survey results will not only provide the judges with material to supplement entrants’ submissions; they will also be shared with respective entrants.

This builds upon the current two-tier selection and judging process, which requires entrants to meet a set of essential and desirable judging criteria in each award – each of which will be overseen by a well respected authority in the field.

The awards recognise excellence across the entire spectrum of HR. New this year will be the award for best graduate intake program, along with 16 other categories ranging from lifetime achievement and corporate citizenship, to the best HR team and the CEO award for best HR champion.

Widely recognised as the HR benchmarking event of the year, the awards fill an important gap in providing an opportunity for individuals, teams and organisations to come together to recognise and celebrate HR as a profession.

Organised by the HR industry’s leading fortnightly magazine, Human Resources, and sponsored by Aon, the awards will culminate in a gala ceremony in Sydney on 15 September 2006.
