As the farm nutrient and environmental experts, Ravensdown exists to enable smarter farming for a better New Zealand. Enabling people is central to achieving this purpose and integral to its values.
The co-operative recently launched a new Culture and People Framework as a pathway for working together to support enabled people over the next five years. Action areas include meaningful work, positive leadership, opportunities for growth, inclusive culture and safe and sustainable.
Over the past 12 months a key focus for Ravensdown has been employee wellbeing and reslience. The co-operative partnered with Hummingly to develop a bespoke workshop on this topic that was recognised by Virgin’s 100% Human at Work Project. The roll-out continued through 2020, with now approximately half of Ravensdown’s workforce having participated.
Since COVID-19 restrictions, flexible working and effective communication have also significantly improved across the 650-strong organisation.
