MOM reveals new minister-in-charge

Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has today (April 23) announced a major cabinet reshuffle. Dr Tan See Leng will now take the helm of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). He will replace Josephine Teo, who will move to the Ministry of Communications and Information.

Minister Tan was previously second minister for manpower and second minister for trade and industry. He will continue to hold both his new role in MOM as well as his portfolio with the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The reshuffle follows Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat’s decision early this month to step down from his role in the key ministry. Heng will remain as Singapore’s deputy prime minister.
