New tool to help employers track workers' vaccine status

Employers can now easily track their staff's vaccination status thanks to a new tool released by work management platform Ento.  The new tool, called VaxTrack, allows employers to view the vaccination status of their employees and helps them arrange shifts based on their vaccine status.

Employees can upload their proof of vaccination to the software, which managers will validate. The files will be stored the same way as a certification or licence and can also be updated if needed.

"This information is used to power rostering notifications, so you're better equipped to roster for compliance and business rules, fast," the company said in a statement.

The new tool can also help managers in preparing their employees' shifts, as it will inform the bosses if they are deploying an unvaccinated staff to a role that requires a jab.

"It can even be set up so that unvaccinated people cannot be rostered in roles where it’s required. Compliance made easy," said the company.

In addition, the tool also issues a Vaccination Compliance Report that show who among the staff members have not yet taken the jabs, received their first dose, or are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The report can even be filtered by role, location, and division.

"Many managers use this report to send additional communication to those that are unvaccinated, prompting them to upload their certificates," said the company.

The new tool arrived as more companies require all or a portion of their staff to get COVID-19 vaccines. Such companies include Qantas, SPC, and 13Cabs.
