Addison cited for his 'exceptional leadership, strategic vision'
AIA Singapore has appointed Owen Addison to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, effective October 1.
Addison steps into the CHRO role after holding several senior HR positions within AIA since joining the company in January 2017.
Most recently, he served as Director of Human Resources within AIA Group Human Resources in Hong Kong, where he was the Business Partner to Group Technology and Operations, AIA New Zealand, and AIA Sri Lanka, while also leading the Group CHRO Office.
Addison will be reporting to AIA Singapore Chief Executive Officer Wong Sze Keed.
"Owen has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision throughout his tenure at AIA," the CEO said in a statement.
"With his proven track record in shaping and driving people and organisation strategies, AIA Singapore is confident that he will play a pivotal role in the company's continued success."
Prior to AIA, Addison also worked for PwC as a manager for over a decade, and as an analyst for Goldman Sachs, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Addison's appointment comes after Aileen Tan's departure on September 30 after more than seven years with AIA Singapore.
"Aileen has been a guiding light for our organisation, and her immense contributions will continue to be felt for years to come. We wish her all the best as she embarks on another phase," Wong said.
Tan is moving to Amplify Health to lead its People and Culture team as a strategic guide and coach starting October 1.
Amplify Health is the pan-Asian Health InsurTech business established by AIA Group Limited in 2022.
