Over 200 AI courses and readiness tools also rolled out as Singapore races to future-proof its workforce
Singapore's Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) has launched a unified digital portal giving employers access to training, job redesign, and workforce transformation resources in one place.
The OurWorkforce portal replaces the existing SkillsFuture for Business website. It consolidates SWDA's suite of employer-facing programmes under a single platform and offers personalised recommendations based on a company's stated business needs.
Through OurWorkforce, employers can browse relevant training courses, explore workforce development solutions and access tools designed to identify opportunities for organisational transformation. The portal also includes resources to help businesses redesign jobs and integrate artificial intelligence into their operations.
The launch forms part of SWDA's broader mandate to strengthen the connection between skills development, workforce transformation, and employer support following the agency's formation earlier this year. SWDA was established by merging SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore.
"As jobs, skills and businesses evolve, individuals and enterprises need support that is more seamless, accessible and responsive," said Dilys Boey, chief executive of SWDA.
"Through continued partnerships, more integrated services and initiatives, we aim to help individuals make full use of the learning opportunities, build career resilience and confidence, while enabling enterprises to develop workforce capabilities."
The portal's launch was attended by Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, who also opened the festival and officiated the launch of Connect by SWDA, a new careers and skills service touchpoint at the Lifelong Learning Institute.
AI courses and readiness tools
Meanwhile, SWDA also rolled out a suite of AI-focused resources aimed at helping both workers and employers prepare for an increasingly automated economy.
The agency has made available a curated catalogue of more than 200 AI courses paired with a complimentary six-month subscription to selected premium AI tools. The initiative is intended to give individuals hands-on experience and confidence in using AI in the workplace.
SWDA has also partnered with the Singapore Institute of Technology to develop the AI Ready Quiz, a self-assessment tool that evaluates a user's current AI proficiency and recommends courses accordingly. Employers can direct staff to the quiz through the OurWorkforce portal, which also hosts the AI course catalogue and subscription offering.
The agency said it would continue to identify emerging and in-demand skills, with AI flagged as a priority area, to help individuals and businesses stay ahead of economic shifts.
The announcements build on a wider government push on AI readiness unveiled earlier this year.
In March, Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo announced plans to upskill 100,000 workers to become "AI Bilingual," meaning proficient in both their own field and in AI, under a new National AI Impact Programme.
The initiative, carried out over three years, also aims to support 10,000 local enterprises in integrating AI into their business processes, with expanded grant support for SMEs to access pre-approved AI tools.
"Not all of us can be AI engineers. But we can be 'bilingual' in AI and our own areas of expertise, and to solve problems in our domains," Teo said at the time.
