Singapore cancels HK travel bubble

Singapore is once again postponing the Hong Kong travel bubble arrangement. This is the second time plans have been called off since both cities began discussing the possibility of fuss-free travel last November.

Just last week, both leaders were confident that they’d be able to announce details of the renewed agreement, with Singapore’s transport minister releasing a statement saying that they were “finalising the details” and “hope to announce our plans soon”.

No reason was immediately provided on why they've postponed the travel bubble, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. They’ve also not released a new date to follow up on the plans.
