MOH reveals latest COVID-19 rules

Singapore has adjusted her reopening plans for phase 3 (heightened alert) due to the growing cluster at Bukit Merah View Market. The adjusted measures were today (June 18) announced in a press conference by the COVID taskforce.

“The [next] stage [of reopening] will proceed on June 21st and we will allow all the higher-risk activities that [are] ‘mask-off’ like F&B dining and gyms and fitness centres,” said Minister Lawrence Wong. “We will allow all of that to resume but with the additional restriction [of] group sizes and these settings have to be limited to two persons.”

Here are the adjusted measures:

  • Residents will be able to dine in at F&B outlets in groups of two only, instead of in groups of five
  • Similarly, indoor mask-off activities in gyms and fitness studios must be limited to groups of two

The next stage of reopening will likely take place by mid-July.
