HRD's inaugural event begins with a bang

L&D Asia summit is underway

Over 200 HR leaders across the region are gathered today (8 April) for HRD’s inaugural virtual Learning & Development Summit Asia. The event was off to a strong start with bang-on opening remarks from Ruth Gertler, exec director learning at Change Et Al.

“There is so much happening in this space,” Gertler said. “I don’t know about you but I’m constantly feeling a little overwhelmed with all the information that I receive about new technologies, new skills, and new learning approaches.

“[Today] you’ll hear many different topics and some of them include reshaping learning strategies post-COVID, developing a skilled workforce, [as well as] how do we choose the right technology, curate tailored content, and use data better, and the future of learning beyond 2021. So I’m really looking forward to hearing from some of the leaders in our region talk to us in this very intimate setting about their experiences and their insights.”

Today’s event is jam packed with sessions helmed by L&D thought leaders from organisations like CBRE, DHL, GovTech, Grab, OCBC Bank, Philips, and Uber. More on the summit as the day unfolds.
