Global tech firm appoints new CHRO

Silver Peak, a global networking hardware company, has appointed Lisa McGill as their new chief HR officer.

McGill will lead the HR team with a focus toward scaling the company to expand its leadership position in the market. She will report directly to founder and CEO David Hughes.

McGill joins from another technology organisation, Crowdstrike, with a track record of leading organisations through periods of hyper growth and global expansion.

For instance, she was instrumental in leading Crowdstrike forward, scaling the company to more than 2,000 employees and completing a successful IPO. While there, she was also instrumental in helping the firm gain recognition as a ‘Best Workplace in Technology’ and a ‘100 Best Medium Workplace’ by Fortune Magazine.

“Lisa brings a unique combination of seasoned leadership and ingenuity that we need to empower our people and deliver the kind of no-compromise transformation that our customers expect to realize [from their] investments,” said Hughes.

Prior to Crowdstrike, McGill served as CHRO at Fortinet, Brocade Communications and Foundry Networks where she implemented effective learning and leadership development frameworks, utilizing advanced data analytics and assessment tools.

“I am super excited to join a company that has both industry-leading technology and a long-term vision for leading the global SD-WAN market forward,” McGill told HRD.

“This powerful combination will enable us to transform our vision into reality by attracting and developing the best talent from around the world to achieve peak levels of teamwork, collaboration and operational excellence.”
