Join the New Zealand delegation heading to the National HR Summit

Key Media’s 11th annual National HR Summit will showcase top HR talents from around the world, such as Steve Rowe of IAG. Rowe will share his insights into a diverse workplace.

Diversity in the workplace is a hot topic at the moment with the news that the gender pay gap is widening in New Zealand, the release of research into unconscious bias against women, and the launch of the Voluntary Code of Practice for Board Recruitment.

Tapping into this topical issue, Steve Rowe, Group General Manager, People & Culture – IAG, will be speaking on diversity and inclusivity in the workplace in his keynote address at Key Media’s conference. In his talk, Building a diverse and inclusive culture: The IAG journey, Rowe will make the business case for diversity in the workplace, describe its integration into a broader ‘People & Culture Strategy,’ and suggest ways to tackle unconscious bias.

Rowe has more than 25 years of experience in people and culture strategies within pharmaceutical, financial services and high tech industries. Before joining IAG in 2011, he was the senior director of HR (Asia Pacific) with Pfizer where he led a team of more than 400 HR colleagues in 20 countries. Rowe is a regular speaker on HR strategy at a range of conferences in the Asia Pacific region.

Registration is now open for the conference, which will return to Sydney on 10-11th April 2012 and is expected to attract more than 900 HR professionals. The summit will feature two conference streams, a free industry expo and workshop prgoramme, networking events and more.
