Victorian employers set to benefit in new 'HR Comply'

State's Chamber of Commerce launches 'all-in-one HR review, documentation and support package'

Victorian employers set to benefit in new 'HR Comply'

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently released a new product to get state businesses “on track.”

In a media release, the VCCI said that the inspiration behind the product is based on employers’ experiences with compliance, noting that most of the time, “businesses often don’t know where to start.”.

“Effective workplace relations and HR management are essential to the success of your business,” VCCI said. Thus, the Chamber’s new service seeks to assist businesses in aligning HR contracts and policies for them to “focus on growing [their] business and ensuring its continued success.”

VCCI acknowledged that “good businesses want to do the right thing” but also cited challenges they face to “get it right,” especially if employers don’t have the in-house expertise or time to review and assess such matters.

The Chamber wants to put the spotlight on “compliance intensifying” with “HR Comply,” a compliance package that includes:

  • Targeted HR review
  • Ongoing support – advice line and mitigation plan
  • Covering all essentials – awards, wages and policies
  • Tools and templates, including employment contracts.

According to VCCI, fo employers who would avail of the package, they would get expert workplace relations consultants for consultation and access to various references and resources.

A coverage assessment and a targeted review of classifications would follow, including targeted waged audits.

“To ensure you have the fundamental building blocks in place, the expert consultants can either draft or review your key policies to ensure they are up to date and fit for purpose,” the VCCI said.

“After completing the review, you will receive a report and mitigation plan setting out any recommendations.”

“The support does not end there. The Advice Line will be on hand for 12 months to provide telephone advice and support,” the VCCI added.
