Sign of the times: Employees walk out

Ever quit in a way that was sure to never see you come back? These three employees just might have, but are probably okay with that…

Sign of the times: Employees walk out

In protest of some rather alarming remarks, three key staff members at clothing outlet Journeys in New York quit, tendering their resignation through a fairly blunt sign.

The image of the sign has been doing the rounds online since being posted on Reddit on Saturday. Propped up on the front gates of the shop, the sign read:

Dear Jamie,
Since you decided to say “Cancer is not an excuse” and think it’s OK to swear at your employees like you do all the time…we quit.
This is why you can’t keep a store manager longer than a year. You abuse your roll [sic] and staff. Enjoy the fact that you lost a store manager, co-manager and key holder in the middle of back to school. Think next time you treat people the way you do.
We aren’t allowing it anymore.
Niki, Jess, TJ

Now severely understaffed, the shop may be facing fines for not opening during mall hours.

"We take situations like this seriously and are currently investigating this issue. Beyond this, we have no comment," Claire McCall, director of corporate relations at Journeys told The Huffington Post.
