Employees rescued after falling into Mars Wrigley chocolate tank

Two workers of a Mars Wrigley factory in Pennsylvania had to be rescued after falling into a tank that contained melted chocolate.

A report from the New York Post said the workers fell and were stuck at waist-deep level before 2:00 p.m., and emergency responders were called to get them out.

The responding fire crews had to "cut a hole in the side of the tank to get them out," according to Brad Wolfe, communications supervisor for Lancaster County 911 dispatch, in a CNN report.

The first worker was removed from the tank around 3:10 p.m., according to a report from ABC, while the second one was out by 3:25 p.m.

"One patient was transported by ground and one person was transported by helicopter," Assistant Supervisor Nick Schoenberger of Lancaster County 911 Dispatch told CNN.

According to Schoenberger, both patients have been transported at the hospital.

No injuries have been reported so far, and it remains unclear how the two workers fell to the tank.

A spokesperson from Mars Wrigley said in a statement that they are grateful for the quick efforts of the respondents.

ABC reported that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is already investigating the incident.
