In contrast to the two years before it, last year gave room for HR practitioners to stop reacting to the twists and turns of the pandemic and start planning for the workforces of the future. That changed the focus from reacting to evolving to changing business environments, technological advancements, and shifts in workplace trends.

This year’s awards feature six categories for individuals, teams, and organisations:

  • Employer of Choice < 200 staff
  • Employer of Choice > 200 staff
  • HR Team of the Year
  • NZ HR Rising Star of the Year
  • NZ HR Manager of the Year
  • NZ HR Director of the Year

It’s time to celebrate the most innovative and agile teams and leaders from across the motu. Mark your diaries for the award ceremony which will be held following the HRD HR Summit 2024, at the Pullman Auckland on Wednesday, 10 April 2024.

“Win or not, the nomination process is an opportunity for reflection,” says Elizabeth O’Brien, global head of people experience at author-it Software – winner of the Employer of Choice (<200 staff) award for 2022.

“When you’re in the thick of it, trying to improve the employment experience for your people, you sometimes forget just how much you’ve achieved. By entering awards like these, you can consciously come up for air and reflect on all you’ve done, both big and small, and why that’s been so important for your people. It’s just such a thrill to know you’re making a difference.”
