New Zealand's Employer of Choice 2022 winners revealed

HRD has announced New Zealand’s Employer of Choice 2022 winners, showcasing the very best places to work across the nation.

So, what does it mean to be an Employer of Choice?

This year’s list of winners have all shown a myriad of accomplishments, from innovation to wellness plans, upskilling to perks – but the one thing they all have in common is their overriding commitment to their people above all else.

This year has been tougher than most – perhaps the most challenging in HR leaders’ careers to date. New Zealand really did lead the way when it came to managing the pandemic – with PM Ardern lauded as the most influential leader in her COVID response plan. This is very much the same in the case of New Zealand’s HR community. Not only did we steer the C-suite through the pandemic blues, but we also lead by example for our teams – showcasing that with compassion and empathy we can make a difference.

This year’s entries were judged on their personal accolades across a plethora HR issues – such as mental health support, flexibility, innovation and tech implementation. And while it was difficult to decide who made the prestigious list, we believe this year’s winners are all prime examples of what HR should look like in 2022 and beyond.

This year’s list includes Domain Name Commission, Hind Management, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners NZ, SUB60 Couriers, The Warehouse Group, Tompkins Wake, and NZ Post.
