IBM names NZ’s best workplace

IBM has named the overall winner of its Best Workplaces Survey, with a prominent Kiwi retailer taking away the prestigious top spot.

Overland Footwear, which won the Best Large Workplace category, beat 42 other finalists to be crowned the overall winner late last week.

“Earning the title of New Zealand’s Best Workplace is a valuable differentiator for employers aiming to attract and retain top talent,” said Emma Martin, a senior consultant with IBM New Zealand.

“The IBM Best Workplaces Awards recognise excellence in employee engagement and workplace culture based on perceptions of the organisation’s own staff, people who know the culture best,” she added.

This year’s survey included responses from over 35,000 employees across 173 organisations – including 27 newcomers – making it the largest study of its kind in New Zealand.
