HRD Australia Rising Stars 2022 winners revealed

Age really doesn't matter when it comes to talent

HRD Australia Rising Stars 2022 winners revealed

HRD Australia is proud to present this year's Rising Stars. Our roster of winners is brimming with talent and potential, each of whom steered organisational success in an era of massive disruption and upheaval. With less than a decade of experience, these stars were able to make significant contributions to their respective organisations, ultimately proving that age doesn't matter in showing off excellence.

Leading this year's Rising Stars is Claudia Kernan from the Australia Post, who shared how she was able to establish a great reputation in her workplace.

"Being genuine and authentic with my managers and colleagues has really helped me to build up a reputation as trusted and capable employee relations and policy adviser," Kernan told HRD.

Mel Walton from Mott MacDonald is also recognised as another leading Rising Star. Walton, who also became a mum in April, said her passion for HR comes from her creative flare and eagerness to build relationships. Fellow Rising Star Sophie Kim hails from the British American Tobacco Australia. Kim, who rose to her current role as area people experience partner, utilises tech to enhance employee experience and business operations at a critical time of digitisation in HR and organisations.
