Awards Night Preview: What to expect at the 2026 Australian HR Awards

The night Australia's HR profession has been waiting for is almost here.

The 2026 Australian HR Awards, the country's premier independent programme recognising excellence in human resources, will be held on September 4 at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

The evening kicks off with networking drinks from 7:00pm, before guests move into the awards ceremony and three-course dinner from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.

The celebrations continue with drinks and dancing until midnight, with a black-tie dress code in keeping with the occasion.

Guests can expect a high-energy night of entertainment alongside the formal proceedings.

Comedian Dave Hughes, listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 50 living Australian and New Zealand entertainment icons, will serve as MC.

Featured entertainer Teegan Bishop, whose career has taken her to stages including Hong Kong Disneyland, the Lincoln Centre in New York, and touring Australia and New Zealand, will perform on the night.

Presented by HRD, the awards recognise the nation's most outstanding HR professionals, teams, and employers. Winners are determined through an independent process that evaluates performance, innovation, and leadership across the industry.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to register through hrawards.com.au, where full event details, including parking and transport directions, are available.
