Anthony Albanese has announced his new-look front bench following Labor's emphatic win at the recent election
Amanda Rishworth will be the new Employment and Workplace Relations Minister following a Cabinet re-shuffle by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Rishworth, the member for Kingston in South Australia, has previously served as the Minister for Social Services and Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Her new role was announced as part of Labor's new-look ministry following the party's crushing win at the election earlier this month.
She takes over the role from Murray Watt.
Other changes include Tanya Plibersek moving from the environment portfolio to take on social services and naming Michelle Rowland as attorney-general.
As reported by Sky, Albanese's six top ministers remain - Richard Marles in Defence, Penny Wong in Foreign Affairs, Jim Chalmers as Treasurer, Katy Gallagher in Finance and Don Farrell in Trade.
HRD has reached out to Minister Rishworth's electoral office for comment on the appointment.
