Who are Australia’s HR power profiles?

The very best social media players in the Australian HR industry have been revealed in LinkedIn’s annual Power Profiles

Australia’s top social media celebrities in the HR industry have been revealed in LinkedIn’s 2016 Power Profiles.

To be included in this list, the individual had to excel in the HR field while investing in their own professional identity on LinkedIn. Through a combination of these qualities, they could then become some of the most viewed HR practitioners in Australia.

The full list of HR Power Profiles includes:
  • Susie Babani, chief human resources officer, ANZ
  • Stephanie Gillies, APAC talent acquisition strategy & transformation director, Accenture
  • Cristal Waples, senior recruitment specialist, Telstra
  • David Sayer, chief operations & talent officer, Ogilvy Australia
  • Rachael Powell, chief people officer, Xero
  • Rhonda Allen, talent director, Apple Australia, Japan & SE Asia
  • Sehr Ahmed, global chief people officer, IFM Investors
  • Lorraine Murphy, group executive people, National Australia Bank
“These Power Profiles are spending time nurturing their professional network by sharing insights and their perspective on areas that they are passionate about,” said Cliff Rosenberg, LinkedIn’s managing director for Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

There are a number of ways HR professionals can develop their brand online, he added. To build your personal and, by extension, business brand, he suggested the following three steps:
  • Tell your professional story: By showcasing any significant professional developments, it is possible to demonstrate your skills and expertise
  • Share your views: Publish lengthy posts that reveal your own personal perspective on topics which matter to you
  • Nurture your network: Link up with those who can connect you to new opportunities and add value to this relationship by offering insightful information through regular updates
