Coates Hire will deploy Oracle’s E-Business suite in the first phase of a growth campaign, which is expected to see the company double in size by 2010. The rollout of the E-Business Suite, which includes Oracle iProcurement, Oracle Self Service HR, Oracle Payroll and Oracle Time and Labour, will take six months. Coates Hire CEO Malcolm Jackman is chairing a steering committee and acting as a sponsor for the CHERP (Coates Hire Enterprise Resource Planning) project, which began in October 2003 with the appointment of Tony Yortis, chief information and innovation officer and CHERP program manager.

Pathlore Software acquires DKSystems

Learning management software (LMS) provider Pathlore Software Corporation recently acquired competitor DKSystems in a deal that will secure an estimated 36 per cent of the LMS market for Pathlore. The acquisition gives Pathlore additional solution-delivery resources and the company will add DKSystems’ development, sales, services and support staff to its operations. DKSystems’ clients include more than 50 global enterprises each with annual revenues of US$1 billion or more, while in Australia and New Zealand, Pathlore clients include Aurora Energy, Bakers Delight, Department of Justice Western Australia, Toyota and Western Sydney Area Health Service.

Taleo partners with Batrus Hollweg International

Talent management software solutions provider Taleo Corporation recently announced a strategic partnership with Batrus Hollweg International (BHI), a talent assessment and development firm for the foodservice industry. The partnership will see the development of a talent management solution designed to address the staffing needs of the foodservice industry, covering positions such as restaurant staff, management, field and executive leadership. Founded in 1969, some of BHI’s clients include Boston Market, The Cheesecake Factory, Krispy Kreme and Lone Star Steakhouse.
