ANZ plugs in Taleo’s staffing management solution

Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS) has selected staffing management software solutions provider Taleo, formerly known as Recruitsoft, on behalf of its major new partner, ANZ.

Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS) has selected staffing management software solutions provider Taleo, formerly known as Recruitsoft, on behalf of its major new partner, ANZ. The bank is partnering with AMS to implement a new recruitment, retention and redeployment strategy. AMS has been contracted as a partner provider to deliver the staff at the lowest possible cost and to also measure the outcomes from a financial perspective for the bank. Taleo’s solutions give end users the ability to view a company’s internal and external talent pools, as well as assign certain skill-sets immediately in order to achieve maximum productivity at the company.

NSW Police goes on the beat with Kronos

NSW Police has signed a million dollar contract with Kronos Australia to implement the Workforce Central labour management solution to streamline its complex rostering requirements, optimise staffing levels and help improve operational agility. With more than 14,000 sworn police officers employed across 460 operational police stations as well as specialist units, NSW Police is one of the largest police forces in the English-speaking world. In June 2003, NSW Police commissioned a global search for a new labour management solution to replace its existing aging rostering system.

Ross Human Directions acquires Spherion Group Asia Pacific

Recruitment and human resource management firm Ross Human Directions Limited has acquired technology, human resource outsourcing and top-tier recruitment company Spherion Group Limited in Asia Pacific for up to $31 million. The deal doubles Ross Human Directions revenue to approximately $350 million per annum, broadens its geographic span and significantly enhances its product offerings to clients. Spherion Group employs around 250 people and has operations in 11 locations in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore. Spherion Group will become a separate business division of Ross Human Directions Limitedand will take effect from 26 June 2004.
