Fujitsu appoints new Head of People & Culture

Fujitsu General Australia has appointed Sarah Gatehouse, Head of People & Culture – Australia and New Zealand.

Gatehouse is the first female in the history of the Australian business to become a member of the executive team.

The announcement is a shift towards the growing diversity of Fujitsu General and its focus on fostering inclusive corporate culture. It is also a momentous appointment in a traditionally male dominated industry.

Gatehouse has worked with Fujitsu General Australia since 2014 and during that time has energised significant cultural change taking engagement levels from disengaged to engaged.

This has included key initiatives such as team building, training and development, and talent identification. She has also driven workplace transforming initiatives including flexibility, benefits, policy and system innovation.

This restructure has included the appointment of Darrin O’Brien to the newly created role of People and Culture Manager – Australia and New Zealand. O’Brien has supported Gatehouse in managing the broad operational requirements required for a dynamic business such as Fujitsu General.

As People and Culture Manager, O’Brien will enable Gatehouse to transition into her executive role and take over the daily operational activities.
