In a tight labour market, businesses battle each other to attract the best talent with hard-to-resist compensation packages. With the US unemployment rate reaching record lows, highly skilled job hunters will find a range of opportunities available to them from top employers.

Ladders, the online career portal, has compiled a list of 15 companies that are offering a salary of US$100,000 or more as of this month. The results were taken from the site’s own database of job vacancies:

  1. Spectrum
  2. Amazon
  3. Facebook
  4. HCA
  5. Banfield Pet Hospital
  6. United Technologies
  7. Apple
  8. Infosys
  9. Wipro Technologies
  10. Jones Lang LaSalle
  11. Capital One
  12. Booz Allen Hamilton
  13. General Electric
  14. Google
  15. Raytheon

When eyeing a particular company, users can head to the company’s corporate page on Ladders and select their area of expertise from a dropdown menu.

More than 20,000 recruiters are active on Ladders, the company said. The site enables job hunters to prepare their own Ladders Resume and explore more than 225,000 job listings.

In August, some 200,000 US jobs were created while the unemployment rate remained at 3.9%, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics showed. Professional and business services, health care, wholesale trade, transportation and warehousing, and mining saw an increase in employment.
