Australia HR Awards 2022: Nominate your HR heroes

After two years of virtual gatherings, the Australian HR awards are back with a bang and ready to raise a glass to HRs best and brightest.

Nominations are now open and will close 13 May, 2022.

If anyone has had to be more agile, resilient and responsive, over the last two years, it’s HR professionals who have been reacting to, and rewriting the playbook at every turn of the global pandemic. This year we get to truly celebrate the triumphs of Australia’s finest HR professionals as the Australian HR Awards proudly returns as an in-person event.

HRD in partnership with Australian Businesses Lawyers & Advisors will host the leading independent awards event at The Fullerton in Sydney on Friday, 9 September 2022. The itinerary for the evening includes a pre-awards cocktail reception, red carpet, and dinner banquet.

Last year, HRD wouldn’t let lockdown prevent the HR community from celebrating their achievements. Despite the turbulence caused by covid the awards went ahead as a revamped, comprehensive virtual world ceremony that included official prize announcements, inspiring virtual panel discussions with finalists and sponsors, and online networking with the wider HR community.

Last year Nigel Ward, CEO at ALBA told HRD: “I was amazed last year to see so many in the HR community with the capacity to just keep going, despite having all the issues and troubles in their backpack.  Often these HR mangers played the role of leader, mentor, technician and more than ever last year, counsellor, being the sponge for the emotions of an organisation.”

The awards are Australia’s leading independent awards event in the HR profession. The awards will showcase the country’s most outstanding HR teams, leaders, and employers for their strategies, achievements and programs over the last year.

HRD extends special thanks to its sponsors, Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors, Employment Hero, Globalization Partners, Reejig, and Wagestream for supporting the recognition of excellence in HR.
