2005 HR Awards open for business

THE Australian HR Awards are once again shaping up as the HR benchmarking event of the year, with an unprecedented level of interest from HR professionals around the country.

With nominations now open, the awards fill an important gap in providing an opportunity for individuals, teams and organisations to come together to recognise and celebrate HR as a profession. In recognition of the growing importance of HR, the theme of this year’s awards is ‘Celebrating the transformation of HR’.

The awards recognise excellence across the entire spectrum of HR, with 17 categories ranging from lifetime achievement and corporate citizenship, to the best HR team and the CEO award for best HR champion.

Developed in conjunction with leading academics and professionals from the HR industry, this year’s two-tier selection and judging process requires entrants to meet a set of essential and desirable judging criteria in each award – each of which will be overseen by a well respected authority in the field.

This approach is designed to allow flexibility in recognising innovation or creativity where necessary, underpinned by specific quantitative evidence around business focus and ROI to validate qualitative information where appropriate.

Organised by the industry’s leading fortnightly magazine Human Resourcesand sponsored by Aon, this high profile ‘Oscars’ for the HR industry will be marked by a gala awards ceremony in Melbourne on 21 October.
