Last week, over 1,000 Asia Pacific HR delegates gathered at Sydney's Luna Park for the National HR Summit, enjoying two days of workshops and inspirational talks from the industry's leaders. The conference once again proved itself to be the premier people management event of the year.

Sarah Robb: It’s so fun. First of all great venue, but I think the content has been really exciting. People had such interesting things to say and such voice to an industry that I think continues to evolve. Being focused on data, being focused on changed management and so I've just, I've really enjoyed it.
Reporter: Last week saw the 12th Annual National HR Summit take over the Sydney's Luna Park once again. With over a thousand delegates enjoying all that the main conference Directors Forum and [free expense food] had to offer. The premier people management event this year saw speakers from big names such as IKEA, Google and Pepsico as well as the Fair Work Ombudsman, Natalie James.
Winter Olympian Stephen Bradbury was also on hand to entertain the crowds with his universally inspiring story. On the expert thought stage delegates had the chance to see up close and personal interviews with thought leaders to learn about the importance of daily fitness and to enjoy a styling class with the brilliant Wendy Mak.
The winner of the HR Summit competition was Salote Cakacaka. Her articulate and heartfelt answer to the question what I love about HR, won her the $10,000 cash prize. There were smiles all round as HR professionals took the chance to network over complimentary drinks and reflect on the summit which has firmly secured itself as so much more than a Conference. This is a premier HR event that cannot be missed.
