Talent solutions provider says it's time to ramp up its focus on its own people

Harrier appoints first head of people, new CFO
Harrier Human Capital on Thursday announced the appointment of Vicki Smith as Chief Financial Officer and Nicole Green as Head of People and Culture.

The firm is a leading talent management business in Australia.

CEO Kelly Quirk said: “These appointments are another reflection of the company’s strategic growth and we’re delighted to welcome Vicki and Nicole to our leadership team.”

Smith has had an outstanding finance career within the global talent solutions market, starting with KPMG in London as an ACA-qualified accountant.

She then moved to Alexander Mann Solutions where she was an integral part of the senior leadership team for nine years supporting their growth, culminating in her appointment as APAC Finance Director.

Smith held senior leadership roles as the Finance Director for Adecco Australia, leading their business transformation. She was also CFO of venture capital-backed social media and sports supplement companies.

Meanwhile, Green was HR Director for Kantar, a FTSE 100-listed subsidiary of WPP Group that provides customised consultancy and research to commercial and government clients.

Prior to this, she led the HR team for Global Television which is responsible for handling the technical side of most of the top live sport and entertainment programming. It contributed over 2,000 hours of television each year across Network Ten, Fox Sports and Channel 9.

Green would be the first head of People and Culture.

“People and culture is at the heart of Harrier’s organisational values, business and value proposition,” Quirk said.

Green would focus on how Harrier supports its own people and businesses to "get better every day" - a core value of the organisation.

Harrier’s announcement follows a string of senior appointments over the last year, including the appointment of Sue Howse from Manpower Solutions and James Freer from Korn Ferry Futurestep.
